Steve Kohanek - President and CEO
Steve is the founder, President and CEO of Komtel, Inc. Since its inception in 1993, Steve has responded to market demand by developing technology-based tools for merchandisers, demonstrators, market research and the mystery shopping industry. Steve's vision is to provide data collection, management and reporting tools to assist with field-related projects for these industries.
Steve began his professional career after receiving a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ithaca College. His concentration on Business and Management led him to a position of Systems Analyst with Perrier Group. At Perrier Group, Steve designed, developed and installed an Interactive Voice Response System for Perrier's Poland Spring Water Company in Norton, Massachusetts serving approximately 120,000 customers.
Dennis Kohanek - Vice President of Operations
Dennis Kohanek, has been with Komtel since 1997. Dennis's primary responsibilities include customer support, technical support and administrative activities. Dennis graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BSAE. His career, spanning over thirty years, included management positions with various firms where he developed his skills in technical sales, major customer development and marketing.
Charlie Fanning - Vice President of Sales
In 2011, Charlie joined Komtel as the Vice President of Sales. With a career spanning over 30 years, Charlie brings a true understanding of the Retail Merchandising industry.
Charlie is a 1971 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Providence College and spent many years in the manufacturing side of the industry holding senior management positions with Gerber Products Co. In addition he was VP of Sales and Operations at Northeast Support Services, a regional MSO company, Convergence Marketing and Driveline Merchandising.
An active member of NARMS, Charlie has attended annual meetings, led workshops, chaired the MSO committee and Associate Member committee, and spent 5 years on
the Board of Directors for NARMS.
Debbie Kohanek - Office Manager
Debbie has been with Komtel since 1997. She manages the day to day logistics of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivables invoicing while fielding and managing customer calls. With her superior organizational skills, Debbie is a cherished employee.
Gene McNamara - Senior Applications Developer
Gene McNamara joined the Komtel team in 2010 bringing extensive technical experience in application design, development and integration. His experience includes multiple long term contracts with IBM as the lead architect and designer for mission critical executive information systems and business intelligence solutions.
