Our Team

Steve Kohanek - President and CEO
Steve is the founder, President and CEO of Komtel, Inc. Since its inception in 1993, Steve has responded to market demand by developing technology-based tools for merchandisers, demonstrators, market research and the mystery shopping industry. Steve began his professional career after receiving a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ithaca College. His concentration on Business and Management led him to IT positions with Perrier Group and Oxford Health Plans. After designing and implementing Perrier's first automated IVR system he launched his own business, Komtel, Inc.

Dennis Kohanek - Vice President of Operations
Dennis Kohanek, has been with Komtel since 1997. Dennis's primary responsibilities include customer support, technical support and administrative activities. Dennis graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BSAE. His career, spanning over thirty years, included management positions with various firms where he developed his skills in technical sales, major customer development and marketing.

Catherine McCormick - Director of Sales and Marketing
Catherine has been with Komtel since 2005 and brings with her technology experience as a systems analyst and sales experience in both the software and advertising businesses. Catherine is valued by her ability to identify customer needs to customize the right system based on those needs. Originally from Toronto, Ontario Canada, she had the opportunity to meet with Steve Kohanek and Komtel through the school system in Danbury CT.

Debbie Kohanek - Office Manager
Debbie has been with Komtel since 1997. She manages the day to day logistics of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivables invoicing while fielding and managing customer calls. With her superior organizational skills, Debbie is a cherished employee.

Reduce manual input!! Through a team approach with ADP, approve your merchandisers for payroll in SSM and just select the ADP payroll export option. An export file is created in Excel format for input directly to ADP payroll system.
